White Boots -by Noel Streatfeild
Harriet is told that she must take up ice-skating in order to improve her health, but she isn’t very good at it.That is, until she meets Lalla Moore, a young skating star. As Harriet finds herself getting better and better on the ice, she realizes that Lalla is jealous of her new talent. Does Harriet want to save friendship more than she wants to skate?
A heart-warming story, white Boots is a book all about friendship. A great book, and I recommend this book to 10 year olds and up.
Dear Mr. Henshaw -by Beverly Cleary
Anyone who can write a book called Ways to Amuse a Dog must be something special! Or so Leigh Botts thinks. When Leigh sends the author, Boyd Henshaw, a list of questions as part of his class project , he is rather taken back when he receives a new list of questions! Annoyed at first, Leigh settles down to tackle each question in turn but then begins to enjoy telling Mr. Henshaw about his home, his school, his parents- and especially about his truck hopping dog! Written by Isabella
Isabella thinks this book is awesome! She recommends this book to 8 year olds and up.
(all these ages are JUST SUGGESTIONS-you don’t have to be that certain age to read the book…)
